"Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.
Roads go ever ever on,
Under cloud and under star.
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar."
~ J.R.R Tolkien
We had a lovely trip home over a two-day period.
On D-Day we talked about those who gave their lives in order
to free so many from tyranny and torture, and what exactly the "D"
in D-Day stood for.
We crossed the mighty Mississippi
and fulfilled our annual tradition of getting lost in Indianapolis.
We stopped for a lovely picnic lunch,
and soaked in the hot tub at our hotel.
We prayed for safety and health each morning we began our journeys,
and God graciously watched over us.
"But be it ever so humble.....there is no place like home."
